Jun. 13th, 2005 10:57 pmI'm getting to the point where I can play DDR* at work without having an asthma attack. I'm not quite all the way there -- I still get that metallic taste on my breath -- but it's nice being able to play without the fear of not being able to breathe.
My technique's changed, too. Now I'm hopping less and actually dancing more; doing a lot of cross-pad moves and staying away from the center for longer periods of time. I suspect this is the real reason why I'm not getting as asthmatic while playing.
* It's an arcade machine, too, which has always seemed more strenuous than a soft pad to me. Probably because it's damn near impossible to hop much on a soft pad.
