New (old) headphones
Jun. 14th, 2005 08:18 pmSo I finally got my broken headphones replaced. I'd been avoiding this for a long time - I bought them with a replacement warranty, but I figured it would be a long tedious hassle to get them replaced, probably involing phone calls to service centers and waiting 6 weeks for the replacement to arrive in the mail.
It turns out the store I bought them at (Magnolia, in Palo Alto), is really, really good at replacements - I walked in, showed them the warranty, and got an off-the-shelf replacement, no questions asked. The only caveat was that you have to re-insure the new device - so a free replacement is really an $8 replacement. Which is a good trade-off for such a no-hassle policy.
