If we're only *pretending* to be time travelers and this comic is contemporary, we would have to have already done it.
Either that or we scammed them while *actually* being time travelers, but the scam was unrelated to our travel, and Dobbsey was mistaken.
But given Dobbsey's place in the narrative structure, I like to think he has good judgment about the authenticity of time travelers.
