I was very upset when the Bush administration, in promoting the amendment banning gay marriage, labelled judges it disagreed with as "activist" judges; painting the concept of judicial review as something sinister and partisan.
I am even more upset that this is apparently their strategy for dealing with any unfavorable rulings, as in the above ruling on Geneva protections.
But I am most upset now that our own Attorney General has become the ringleader for the name-calling.
