Feb. 14th, 2003 11:38 pmSo, I had a nice Valentine's Day with Juli. We went to Oak Park mall for the rather stereotypical dinner and a movie, but with a few key differences. We ate at Ruby Tuesday's, then we had an hour to kill at the mall, so we bummed around at the mall...most of this time was spent in record stores, but we also stopped by Babbages and arranged for a reserved copy of the new Zelda game. They're running an irrestible special with the Zelda reserved copies, which is you get *on the spot* a bonus disc containing a Game Cube port of the Ocarina of Time (both original and "Master Quest"). I suppose we'll have to get a Game Cube now.
For the movie, we saw Daredevil, and it was just unbelievable. There were *four* seperate trailers for superhero movies: The Incredible Hulk, some weird "Extraordinary Gentlemen" movie with Sean Connery, some other movie which I can't remember (and may not exist), and X-Men 2. The movie itself was over the top in a dorky Affleck sort of way, and as an added bonus, contained a Very Special Cameo by a certain someone who's worked with Affleck for most of his career (and no, I'm not talking about Matt Damon).
Finally, we stopped at Hyvee and bought Jones soda, which Juli says is very hard to find.
All in all, very nice.
