Today was pretty interesting. I got to meet four new people. And a swimming pool. And they were all very friendly and fun. Especially the pool. (It had a diving rope! I did not know such things existed.)

[livejournal.com profile] adularia had a very sad tomato with her dinner. I think it was an emo tomato.

Very sad-looking cartoon tomato with his leaves arranged in an emo haircut, all swept to one side ala Emo Spiderman.

Cheer up, emo tomato.

I think the spiked bits are supposed to go in the other direction?

Only for happy, perky tomatoes. Emo tomatoes would never use hair gel, though. It just naturally spikes like that.

And, yes, it was a pretty sad tomato.

I meant coming down the left side of its face instead of the right. I guess there probably isn't a standard, I'm just speaking to what I've seen most, I think.

One must always be careful when hugging a tomato so as not to make it go squish.

You should do a series on the secret tribes of fruits and veg. Next up, hipster banana and so-goth-I'm-blackberries.

Life was so much better when it was a young bud. Now, it has become old and jaded, and sees that its life was merely a prelude toward being a garnish for its human overlords...

Maybe that's why emo tomatoes don't taste good - they're too bitter.

Even more emo? Jade flowers. They're born jaded.

I think I'm going to start an emo wall at work. Emo Tomato will be the first submission. I love him.
