I'd be willing to try it once or twice, but probably not habitually. Actually I'm not entirely sure I haven't already had something similar - maybe not oreos, but likely some sort of cookie...
The weirdest food combination I enjoy: Feta-orange pancakes. A few months ago I got this inexplicable craving for feta crumbled on pancakes, and as luck would have it a local cafe which had feta on its menu for other dishes was running a special on orange pancakes. It turned out to be a really tasty combination, and the waitstaff didn't seem fazed at all when I asked, so maybe this isn't as weird as I think it is.
2) Why brains? (In your choice of comic strips.)
It was actually a dare, of sorts, from a conversation with
mousetrout. I'd been complaining about how irrational my brain was being at the time, and she remarked on how funny brains were in general. For some reason that made me think of brains as comedians, so I quipped back, "You know what's even funnier? Brains with groucho glasses and mustaches." She dared me to draw a picture of said brain and post it online, and the rest is history.
3) Where did you live when you were six? (I like that question, and so I steal it.)
I lived in a smallish house in south Oklahoma City with my mom and dad and two younger sisters (I was the oldest child in my family). My mom might have been pregnant with my brother at that point. (I also now have a fourth sibling, a sister who was adopted much later from Guatemala.) We lived in that house for another couple of years, at which point we moved to a bigger house in Edmond, which is a suburb to the north of OKC.
4) What's your favorite hobby?
Right now, probably drawing. I'm starting to feel like I'm getting diminishing returns out of it, which is kind of frustrating - every time I improve my technique, I just want to push myself harder, and my expectations are starting to really outpace my skills.
5) What's the best thing you've done with your new mixer?
I actually haven't had the time or energy to use it for much, lately. Probably the chocolate chip cookies I made a few weeks ago.
