It's Saturday night and I'm driven to wonder: Why did I download the scary version of this week's Doctor Who episode by mistake? I meant to download the cheerful, silly, zany version that would leave me happy and not scared. Bad, bad bittorrent.
Well, I suppose that's a bit unfair. It's my own darned fault, really. The name of the episode should have been enough to dissuade me. I mean, you don't go about naming an episode "The Girl in the Fireplace" without a good reason. That reason being to scare
arjaches, that's why.
I mean, honestly, I'd be hiding behind the sofa if I had one and wasn't terrified of the thought of things behind sofas. Actually, that would probably be the only crueler thing for the BBC people to do at this point. Develop a new Doctor Who episode about some evil horrible monster that hid behind sofas and ate children. Where would they hide then, huh? I ask you.
