Microclimate Studies (from sculpin)

Numerical data on Seattle microclimates: http://www.sculpin.com/journal/2005/12/01/microclimates-and-snow. Over a 9 month period, Capitol Hill got nearly a foot more rainfall than the UW campus.

I wonder if there are similar studies on the Bay Area. The San Francisco financial district seems way colder and gloomier to me than the rest of the city, but maybe that's just my imagination.
